Job Description We are currently hiring Field Service Technicians (Mechanics) to join our growing team Crown Lift Trucks is the premier material handling dealer in Canada.

We are a leader in the industry and are considered a one-stop shop for all material handling needs.

Crown Lift Trucks Canada operates eight full-service branches in both Ontario and Quebec offering complete service solutions including maintenance programs, parts supply, and training.

Ideally you are an automotive, heavy equipment, truck and coach, or power lift truck technician, or are enrolled in a motive power program.

Candidates with similar mechanical experience are also considered for this role. You are a results-orientated self-starter and team player, with strong communication and customer service skills.

Discuss with customer and review recommended repairs. Estimate or quote repair costs.

Place parts orders and complete necessary paperworkPerform safety and operational testsPerform pre-delivery inspections, lay down trucks, and install trucks as neededCommunicate customer satisfaction information and leads to the appropriate personnelComplete all training as requiredPerform other duties as assigned Physical RequirementsAble to safely operate lift trucks and vehicles/service vansAble to sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop/twist, squat, reach below knee level, grip/grasp, work with arm outstretched, and work above chest levelAble to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs., reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, climb ladders, torque, use vibratory tools, and pinch grip Education and QualificationsHigh school diplomaValid driver's licenseIndustry related training and/or one to two years of prior experience (preferred)Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematicsFamiliar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and various types of testing equipmentAble to read and understand service manuals and microfiche, plan and follow-throughGood organizational, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required Please note that we currently require all new hires to complete a criminal reference check to be eligible for employment.
