Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion (BACI) is a community based non-profit agency that has been supporting people with developmental disabilities and their families for over 65 years.

BACI is looking for people who are interested sharing their home and providing support to a person with a developmental disability - we call this Life Sharing and it is a contracted position.

Your role is to:

- share your life and home with a person with disabilities.

• Provide a safe and healthy environment.
• To teach and support daily living, a healthy lifestyle, and ways to make connections in their community.
• Be available to the person for various daily needs.

BACI is looking for roommates who want to share their home with a person with a disability.

We are looking for an individual or family who are interested in moving into a someone's home and providing them with daily living supports.

The individual is an older gentleman, he is a lovely fellow who has autism and requires supports with his daily routines.

He receives supports during the daytime from a community inclusion program.

This person is easy to be around, likes to explore their community, and wants to spend time with people that shares her interests.

This person also has a vibrant and very-involved personal network.

These are contractor positions which means you'll be paid as a contractor (not an employee) - Compensation is tax-free income, with the benefit of being paid to support someone from your own home.

Preferred not required:
previous experience and/or training supporting persons with developmental disabilities and autism.
