The Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects (ICCE) is looking for an Executive Director

The main goal is to strengthen the technical and scientific capabilities of Indigenous communities in Canada, respecting the values of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities.

  • Lead and manage ICCE operations
  • Develop policies, programs, and research
  • Establish partnerships with academic institutions and industry
  • Collaborate with Indigenous communities

Responsibilities:

  • Promote ICCE to Indigenous communities nationwide
  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and partners
  • Hire, manage, and assess association employees
  • Engage with Indigenous communities to recruit Board Members
  • Provide policy recommendations to the Board
  • Work with the Board on organizational policies and plans
  • Assess financial needs and recommend actions

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years experience as an Executive Director or similar
  • Experience in partnering with Indigenous organizations and communities
  • Knowledge of environmental laws and land use planning
  • Proficiency in both official languages of Canada

The role involves interacting with public and Indigenous communities, Chief and Council, and Members in a flexible office environment.

Responsible for managing ICCE's budget, overseeing staff, representing the organization, and negotiating contracts and services.

Requirements: Proven experience in executive management, partnership development with Indigenous groups, and knowledge of environmental laws. Must be fluent in both official languages of Canada.
