Have experience in the industry? Even better We want our freelancers to be engaged as part of the Under the Hard Hat team.
What you'll do:
- Research and write articles that drive reader engagement and grow Under the Hard Hat's readership and subscriber list
- Perform indepth research and conduct interviews to support articles, if necessary
- Pitch exclusive content ideas about current and relevant topics or areas of interest
- Match Under the Hard Hat's brand voice and tone and respect SEO, brand, and quality guidelines
- Ensure all information is properly cited and factually accurate
What we're looking for:
- Exceptional written and verbal English skills
- Experience creating written content for a digital platform
- Education in journalism, communications, or a related field
- Strong research skills and the ability to transform sometimescomplex information into easytounderstand content
- Ability to write compelling articles free of typos and grammatical errors
- Knowledge of SEO and helpfulness best practices
- Ability to contribute at least 10 hours per week
- Flexibility to adhere to tight deadlines and timesensitive assignments when needed
- Knowledge and experience writing about the Canadian and American construction industries (preferred)
- Must be located in Canada or the United States

Compensation:
