Job Summary

This role involves leading and guiding production employees on the shop floor, collaborating with the Business Solutions scheduler to ensure timely deliveries and quality standards are met while following all GDCAEP processes and procedures. Responsibilities include analyzing production records for improvements, supporting Supervisors and Managers, ensuring a safe work environment, and managing budgets in alignment with senior management.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:15 pm

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Time Management System according to GDCAEP procedures
  • Track attendance patterns using the Time Management System
  • Communicate daily objectives to the team
  • Ensure production meets quality standards
  • Participate in daily meetings with production staff
  • Manage overtime
  • Ensure on-time delivery of orders
  • Implement process improvements
  • Coordinate training initiatives
  • Provide training opportunities
  • Monitor performance and conduct yearly reviews
  • Promote adherence to security and safety programs
  • Maintain performance metrics
  • Enforce safe practices through training and audits
  • Address order exception reports and take corrective action
  • Manage vacation schedules
  • Complete shift handover reports
  • Organize and maintain work area
  • Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications, Experience, and Educational Requirements:

Work Experience:

  • 2 – 3 years of previous supervisory or lead experience in a production setting

Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a dynamic work environment
  • Familiarity with ISO procedures
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
  • Effective conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, SAP
  • Customer service-oriented

Education:

  • High school diploma required, post-education preferred

Working Conditions

  • Noisy and fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work additional hours or weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
