Our client is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Heavy Equipment Coordinator to join their dynamic and rapidly growing construction team. The Heavy Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of all heavy equipment operations on our construction sites. As a Heavy Equipment Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects, while ensuring that all heavy equipment is used efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage all heavy equipment operations on our construction sites

Identify and assign appropriate heavy equipment to each project and ensure that it is properly maintained and in good working condition

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and availability of equipment as needed

Conduct regular inspections on all heavy equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards

Coordinate the training and certification of heavy equipment operators, ensuring that all operators are fully trained and certified to operate specific equipment

Monitor heavy equipment inventory and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all equipment purchases, leases, and disposals

Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to determine the heavy equipment needs for each project and make recommendations for efficient and cost-effective solutions

Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures for all heavy equipment operations

Evaluate and approve equipment rental and purchase contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a heavy equipment coordination role in the construction industry

Valid heavy equipment operator's license, with experience operating various types of heavy equipment

Proven track record of managing and coordinating multiple heavy equipment operations simultaneously

Strong knowledge of heavy equipment safety regulations and maintenance standards

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Ability to problem-solve and make quick and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in using computer software and systems to track and manage heavy equipment operations and inventory
