Position Overview:

Velocity Truck Centre Canada, formally known as P&R Truck Centre, is looking for a Parts Technician in Saanichton. This position is responsible for effectively managing inventory, fulfilling parts orders, and providing exceptional customer service to clients, both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory efficiently by conducting regular stock checks and coordinating replenishment with the Parts Manager
  • Process parts orders accurately and promptly to ensure timely fulfillment and excellent customer satisfaction
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries, orders, and returns, fostering strong relationships with clients
  • Maintain detailed records of parts transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow, enhance efficiency, and contribute to achieving departmental objectives

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in automotive parts management or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a parts technician or similar role within the automotive or commercial transport industry
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clientele
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems and basic office software
