Junior Carpenter

Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of materials needed
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements
• Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or preconstructed items
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, molding, cabinets, and doors
• Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or structures
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to complete projects
• Collaborate with other construction professionals onsite

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
• Proficient in construction estimating and reading blueprints
• Knowledge of various carpentry techniques including masonry, tile laying, cabinet installation, drywall installation, flooring installation, etc.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, electrical equipment used in carpentry work
• Ability to fabricate and assemble wooden structures according to specifications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent problemsolving skills
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
