Job Title: FSQA Coordinator at Maple Leaf Foods

Are you passionate about ensuring food safety and quality assurance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Maple Leaf Foods is seeking an FSQA Coordinator to join their team. As the Coordinator, you will play a key role in monitoring and analyzing data to uphold food safety standards and provide necessary guidance and support. If you have a background in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science, and experience in a technical role at a food manufacturing facility, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Your Role:
  • Support the execution of site environmental program (EMP).
  • Coordinate and ensure proper execution of Hold and Release program.
  • Function as the Gatekeeper of SharePoint, SAP.
  • Maintain and coordinate verification and changes to SOPs in SharePoint and SAP.
  • Conduct CCP and/or prerequisite training and other Food Safety Training.
  • Maintain GMP Training presentations and CCP presentations.
  • Execute NCR's.
  • Investigate and draft responses for customer and consumer complaints.
  • Coordinate FSQA document management (SOP's, training material, policies, etc).
  • Support and/or deliver FSQA training.
  • Conduct Food Safety Validations on Allergens, Sanitation, laundry etc.
  • Coordinate product shelf-life testing.
  • Order FSQA supplies.
  • Assist with construction activities and planning of environmental monitoring.
  • Support and/or coordinate equipment calibrations (MDs, thermometers, data tracers, etc.)
  • Conduct monthly audits (Building audit, Food Defense audit)
  • Participate in internal and external food safety and quality audits.
  • Participate in meetings and projects as required.
  • Provide back up support to FSQA Technician on production floor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • University degree or college diploma preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a technical role at a food manufacturing facility.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior systems skills (including MS Office).
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and teach others.
  • Proven alignment to the Maple Leaf Leadership Values.
