What you will learn and contribute to


The Global Network Management Engineering team in the IP/Optical Networks (ION) Business Division is seeking an NSP product specialist delivering installations and upgrade services globally.

The NSP product specialist will be responsible for performing NSP installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities along with post-sales delivery support (Customer Deployments, Professional Services).

Are you passionate about solving problems? As part of our team, you will:

  • Deliver product upgrades, migrations, and installations (remotely/onsite), working with customers for requirement gathering and project deployments, setting customer expectations before and during project implementations.
  • Create method of procedures (MoP) and detailed designbuild documentation (LLD), implementation, operational, and acceptance test documentation (ATP).
  • Adhere to and contribute to the team's best practices and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver customized workshops and technical training to customers.
  • Working closely with PLM and Support teams to manage solution issues and product evolution, along with Technical Designers, NPI engineers, Integration engineers, and other project team members.

Your skills and experience

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecom or Software Engineering
  • Strong skills with Linux/Unix, Solaris, Red Hat, CentOS
  • Strong knowledge of hypervisor technology (KVM, ESXi)

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing concepts and platforms such as OpenStack
  • Knowledge of Network Management & API concepts and protocols such as NETCONF, YANG, OpenFlow, SNMP, REST, XMPP, JMS,
  • Good Knowledge of IP Networking, Routing,

Services Topology:
IPv4 and IPv6, BGP, LDP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, VPRN, IP VPN, QoS, Security

  • Knowledge of Software Defined Networking & Network Function Virtualization concepts
  • Experience in consulting and providing project services directly to external Customers or Consultation, Deployment Design, Testing, and Customer Acceptance
  • OSS integration experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
