We are looking for a dynamic individual with the talent, innovative-thinking and passion to help NBS continue to share the transformative power of dance with people of all ages, abilities, and aspirations.
Under the leadership of the Human Resources Manager, the Talent Management Specialist will contribute to the short and long term planning and execution of the HR strategy at Canada's National Ballet School (NBS); provide leadership and expertise in the design, implementation and ongoing development of a talent management strategy, attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with the option of working remotely twice per week; Support efforts to understand, assess and cultivate equity-informed practices within the HR function and decision makingManage full recruitment process
Oversee and guide NBS' talent management strategy; strengthen, standardize and publish recruitment and advancement processes through an equity lens
Collaborate with the EDI department in the development of programs and initiatives designed to enhance the recruitment and successful retention of employees from diverse and under-represented identities
collaborate with Brand Engagement to develop a communications strategy to leverage the EVP in all recruitment tools/strategies
Streamline and create efficiencies with the implementation of an applicant tracking system
Support data collection and analysis related to HR policies, turnover and retention, exit interviews, incident reports, promotion and discipline in support of meeting strategic priorities and program/process evaluation
Serve as a creative and knowledgeable resource for HR colleagues and managers
Degree/diploma with HR focus; CHRP or TMP designation an asset
~3-5 years' experience in Human Resources with a focus on recruiting
~ Strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills adhering to schedules and deadlines
~ Versatility to undertake diverse duties and projects
~ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams)
Successful candidates must supply Canada's National Ballet School with a Police Reference Check in accordance with the School's Child Abuse/Sexual Abuse Prevention Policy; this will be coordinated through the Human Resources Department of NBS.
