Job Description:
Job Description We are seeking a skilled and certified 310T Technician for our client in Kingston, ON.

As a Truck and Coach Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and buses.

You will ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections on trucks and buses to assess mechanical and electrical conditions.
Use computerized diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults in engines, transmissions, and other systems.
Conduct road tests to evaluate vehicle performance and diagnose issues.

Repair and Maintenance:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including overhauls and rebuilding.
Maintain and repair braking systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Adjust, replace, or repair components of the vehicle's drivetrain and transmission.
Service and repair steering, suspension, and cooling systems.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks.
Replace or repair damaged parts, including bodywork and interior components.

Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Adhere to environmental regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with customers and explain the nature of repairs and maintenance required.
Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and timely repairs.

Operational Efficiency:
Keep work area clean and organized.
Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education and CertificationHigh school diploma or equivalent.310T Truck and Coach Technician certification.
Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and vehicle components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a truck or heavy vehicle mechanic.
Experience with a variety of makes and models of trucks and buses.

Soft Skills:
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and crouching, for extended periods.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and in hot or cold temperatures.

Shift Timings:
2PM TO 10PM4PM TO 12AM.

Experience:
Truck and Coach Technician: 3-5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:310T License (mandatory)
