SUMMARY OF DUTIES

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for integrating new solutions; determines which technical components, major subsystems and interfaces to implement. Provides test, development, staging and production environments for software and systems solutions.
  • Performs installations and configurations for the Windows server operating system required for infrastructure and systems.
  • Responsible for the administration of Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and Windows Server Active Directory Services; actively participates in upgrade and software deployment initiatives.
  • Administers all aspects of Exchange online and onprem.
  • Configures and maintains Mobile Device Management with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
  • Updates and maintains Windows and other operating systems under their responsibility while taking all security aspects into account.
  • Monitors the status of emergency backups and performs random vector recoveries as random validation tests to ensure proper operation.
  • Sets up highavailability environments for disaster recovery; ensures that all accesses are secured.
  • Conceives, installs, configures, upgrades and maintains virtualized Servers, vSphere clients, and VCenter Server in support of businessprocessing requirements.
  • Creates the "Data Stores" for storing VMs and related data.
  • Virtualizes physical environments, services and networks based on demands and organizational needs, where possible.
  • Configures and maintains all Windows and VMware servers, including monitoring of the systems' health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability and security; creates and executes maintenance plans.
  • Configures VMware functionalities such as High Availability (HA), Distributed Resources Scheduler (DRS), backups, vMotion and other associated systems.
  • Monitors and tunes the storage layer and the Network access in VMware to achieve optimum performance levels, efficiency and reliability.
  • Diagnoses and resolves any system problems using the appropriate VMware tools, and properly identifies anomalies.
  • Performs functional and opportunities analyses, defines requirements and required features to meet business needs, designs architecture, implements and configures solutions; ensures cohesion, integration and integrity of all the solutions' components with other NFB systems.
  • Ensures solutions implemented under their responsibility are harmonized while considering the needs of the teams in the Technologies Branch.
  • Validates and implements the choice of system components and technical hardware specifications throughout project implementation, as well as changes to existing systems under their responsibility.
  • Provides postimplementation monitoring for systems or solutions; proposes and implements corrective action when needed.
  • Performs unitary and integrated testing with users, analysts and developers before implementing the solutions in production.
  • Keeps skills up to date, performs technology watch and stays abreast of recent developments in the industry on a technical level, and actively participates in discussions about adopting them within the NFB; as applicable, implements approved solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Information Technology (Computer Science) or in a relevant discipline;
  • Minimum of eight years' experience in a similar role, with responsibilities for administering a largescale and highperformance infrastructure;
  • Extensive experience in the configuration and administration of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 environments, including Microsoft Exchange;
  • Knowledge of system backup and disasterrecovery best practices;
  • Knowledge of automated scripting using PowerShell tools;
  • Experience using virtualization solutions such as VMware;
  • Bilingualism in both official languages (French and English), both orally and in writing.
