Reporting to the Executive Director, and responsible for a portfolio of five client and participant service programs (Prevention/Early Intervention, Mental Health Access, Individual and Family Services, Intensive Services for Children and Intensive Services for Youth), the Director of Client and Participant Services (Director, CPS) will oversee service delivery and ensure that service quality, models of care, and service capacity meet the needs of GH-CCMH's current and future clients and participants.
Working with a team of clinical program senior managers, The Director, CPS will ensure safe, effective and equitable service delivery.
As a member of a high functioning, collaborative leadership group, the Director CPS will advance GH-CCMH's mission to achieve unprecedented outcomes in child and youth mental health through collaboration, innovation and partnership.
In service of this mission, the Director CPS will work with SickKids Hospital colleagues in the development of robust hospital to community transition services.
Equally, the Director CPS will collaborate with colleagues across the Child and Youth Mental Health sector and through the organization's various partnerships to support an equitable, coherent and effective system of care.
The Director CPS will be senior lead for CCMH's anti-racism, anti-oppression, health equity action plan and will partner with Quality and Human Resource leads in delivery of our Equity, Diversity and Health Equity action plan.
The Director, CPS will foster approaches that reflect a biopsychosocial understanding of child and youth mental health service delivery and will nurture collaboration between client and participant services to best meet client/ participant and family need.
The Director, CPS will collaborate actively with the Medical Director and the Advance Practice Lead for Psychology and Interprofessional Care to support a strong interprofessional approach across services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that client and participant services meet the requirements of service contracts and are delivered in a safe, equitable, evidence informed, peoplecentred manner.
- Oversee client and participant service operations across all programs to minimize wait times and optimize service access,
- Develop, monitor and maintain fidelity to models of care across all clinical programs,
- Maintain standards of quality across communitybased participant services,
- Support service delivery and maintain strong relationships with key partners including but not limited to SickKids Hospital, Toronto sector Core Service Providers, Toronto District School Board, City of Toronto, CAFCAN, Native Child and Services Toronto, East Toronto Health Partners, and others,
- Ensure financial and operational planning, accountability and reporting across all programs,
- Ensure compliance with annual and quarterly service delivery reporting requirements,
- Support clinical research and evaluation, ensuring implementation of outcome measures and measurementbased care tools across all programs,
- Support strong interprofessional assessment and treatment across programs in conjunction with physician and psychology leads,
- Act as leadership sponsor to Antiracism, Antioppression, Health Equity Advisory Group,
- Chair Clinical Operations Team meetings,
- Support Senior Managers in their roles, complete and monitor annual performance reviews, respond to all position vacancies, provide professional development and performance improvement/ management as appropriate,
- Ensure clear succession plan for all positions reporting to Director CPS,
- Participate/ chair project working groups as required related to delivery of clinical care,
- Participate in oncall and Duty Manager rotation as required.

- Complies with the organization's vision and mission and all policies and procedures
- Adheres to agency code of conduct and code of ethics
- Works regularly at both CCMH's 440 Jarvis and 1645 Sheppard locations as well as maintains regular visibility with various community sites
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management
Effort
- Concentration and creativity required daily to prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, prepare service reports/clinical documents, chair meetings, etc.

Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent in a regulated health profession (a combination of clinical experience and training with a Master of Health Administration or equivalent will be considered).
