Glazing/Metals Drafter Flynn Companies Vancouver, BC $75k+
This full time, office-based role can be based out of Vancouver, BC, Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB and will be responsible for Drafting/Design of Curtain Wall and Cladding Shop Fabrication Drawings

What we Offer: · Rewarding and challenging fast-paced work in an excellent environment· Flexible hours and an excellent benefits program which includes: health, dental, life insurance, employee assistance program and RRSP matching· Cutting edge technology (3-D Modelling)· Training and Development opportunities· Stability within a large company· Ability to work on large national, multi-story projects· Opportunity to travel and view your project sites· Great environment where our motto is "Flynn Family Winning Together"A Day in the Life:· Design and draft detailed drawings for architectural approval, shop fabrication & field installations· Create custom designs as required for architectural approval · Provide complete fabrication drawings and bills of materials for each job· Utilize all forms of architectural metals and/or curtain wall that Flynn offers to its customers· Provide technical support on projects· Review and verify all CAD work conform to applicable codes, standards, specification and project requirements· Collaborate with project manager and engineer to develop scope, schedule and outline technical clarifications/exceptions as necessary· Review drawing submissions for accuracy· Provides staff support and technical guidance for projects· Assist Drafting Team Leads as requiredWhat you Bring: · 10+ years direct industry experience in Construction is a must· Proven record in design/drafting of curtain wall & cladding Shop & Fabrication drawings · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Advance AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Revit, Inventor is required· Solid construction knowledge base with emphasis on Building Envelope Design· Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment· Ability to work independently and in a team environment· Strong PC skills in MS Office · Must be organized and self-motivated· Strong mathematical skills are an asset
