**Purpose of the position
The position will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Providing direction/administration to ensure the effective operation of services and programs in the landfill site.
  • Performing operational duties to meet department needs (i.e. scale house operations)
  • Operating small, medium, and large sized equipment
  • Performing safety protocols and administrative tasks as required.

To be successful in the position, you will come to us with:

  • A minimum Grade 12 education.
  • A Minimum Class 5 Driver's License, Class 3 License with air brake endorsement is an asset (willing to obtain Class 3 Driver's License).
  • Previous experience working in a landfill is an asset.
  • A minimum of 1year supervisory experience (supervisory training is an asset).
  • Valid Transfer Site Certificate; or willing to obtain one, once eligible.
  • Class II and Class III Landfill certification; or willing to obtain one, once eligible.

Salary range is: $ $47.01 hourly

Salary includes a100% Employer paid, Sunlife health and dental benefits plan, and participation in the LAPP Pension Plan (part-time permanent position will be prorated).

Full-time term position (maternity leave cover, months):

  • **Hours: 40hr regular workweek (days and evenings/weekends as needed).
