The Strategic Reporting and Analytics Manager plays a critical role in developing and implementing data and analytics frameworks, ensuring SOC 1 Type 2 compliance, and managing client relationships to meet data and analytics contractual obligations.

By prioritizing and delivering accurate reports, overseeing data quality, and automating processes, this role enhances decision-making, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

A Day in the Life- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and maintain documentation for SOC 1 Type 2 audits- Oversee daily/weekly/monthly client-facing operational and financial reports- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding data and analytics requests- Lead the client relationship in managing and prioritizing client intake requests and providing escalation support related to strategic data and analytics projects- Coordinate with internal teams to allocate resources to meet client deadlines- Present key data metrics during QBR/MBR meetings with senior leadership and client- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards- Manage client contractual and financial obligations as it relates to data integrity- Work with internal and external stakeholders to improve data governance and implement controls where necessary- Oversee IT projects that pertain to reporting, and partner with IT team where relevant- Monitor vendor performance and data quality, implementing metrics to measure and improve data quality- Oversee the implementation of automation tools and scripts to streamline workflows and improve efficiency- Support reporting expansion by providing expertise and guidance on new strategic initiatives including global expansion opportunities- Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities- Demonstrate Element's

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field of study 6+ years of experience in an analytics or BI role in a fastpaced, datadriven environment, preferably in ecommerce and/or at a startup
  • Skills or knowledge of programming languages e.g. Python, R, SQL, Power Query, DAX
  • Working knowledge of data schemas, data models and ETLs. Extensive experience with, and knowledge of, Power BI and other BI tools to conduct analysis of large data sets to derive business insight
  • Excellent analytical skills, diagnostic reporting skills, creative problem solver, curious and truthseeker
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to explain technical concepts to developers, product managers, and business partners
