THE OPPORTUNITY – JOB COACH, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

PAY RATE: $22.00/hr.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assess the client's employment readiness and identify employment skills and supports required to be competitively employed and assist in developing those skills
  • Support the client to explore, obtain and maintain employment
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with employers
  • Support employers by acting as a resource regarding persons with a disability, and assist to customize the supported employee's job
  • Ongoing review of the supported employee's performance and support required to gain the skills needed to do their job

WHAT YOU BRING
We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

  • Diploma and/or Degree in Community Rehabilitation, Disability Studies or a related social science
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience is required
  • Previous experience providing employment support is an asset
  • Well developed and effective communication skills (written and oral)
  • A vehicle and a valid Class 5 Drivers License is mandatory
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
  • Represent Vecova in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
