Thomson Reuters Labs is seeking a AI & ML Software Engineering Manager with experience leading a team of engineers to buildartificial intelligence (AI) powered applications for legal drafting and review .As amember of Thomson Reuters Labs , you will haveadirect impact on the world by creating newand innovative products that improve the speed and quality of l egal practice, transactional law, and more .

As a Software Engineering Manager at Thomson Reuters Labs, you will be part of Labs' Legal Tech team responsible for delivering new features to a portfolio of legal products thousands of customers use to review and dr aft legal agreements, administer their practice, etc.

As a AI & ML Software Engineering Manager you will:

Manage:

Direct the efforts of a small team of software engineers ensuring a high-performance culture, nurturing your team's career development and managing their performance expectations.


Guide :
Provide technical leadership partnering with other engineers to develop and improve methodology and evolve the technology stack.

Applying modern software development practices, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, building, testing and delivering high-quality solutions.


Solve Complex Problems :
You will create large scale data processing pipelines to help researchers build and train novel machine learning algorithms. You willdevelophigh performing scalablesystems in the context of large online delivery environments.

Be a Team Player:

Working in a collaborative team-oriented environment, you will share information, value diverse ideas, partner with cross-functional and remote teams.


Be an Agile Person:

Act w ith a strong sense of urgency and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will deliver solutions against strict timelines.

Through dynamic engagement and communication with cross-functional partners and team members, you will effectively articulate ideas and collaborate on technical developments.

You're a fit for the role of AI & ML Software Engineer ing Manager if your background includes: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related Field.

At least 8years software engineering experience, ideally in the context of machine learning and natural language processing.
Haveexperience leading technical workstreams within a software engineering organization.
Experience and a deep understanding of Python software development stacksand ecosystems.
Proficient in system s design and consider DevOps /CICD/automation fundamental pillars of your work .

Experienceintegrating Machine Learning solutionsinto production-grade softwarewith a sound understanding of the AI/ML development lifecycle andthe ability totranslate the terminology and methods used by both engineer s and scientists.

Exposure to C# and/or .Net Development is a plus.
