Job Title: Non-Certified Occasional Teacher - Classroom Supervisor

Job Description:

  • Provide adult supervision in a classroom when a qualified teacher replacement is unavailable.
  • Ensure an adult presence in the classroom for added safety.
  • Assist students with completing assigned work.
  • Follow the Board's privacy policy to protect students' privacy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the school principal, such as outside recess, bus, or lunch supervision.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Preference given to current university or college students or graduates.
  • Experience with teaching practices or working with children and youth is beneficial.
  • Experience with students of diverse needs, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • All successful candidates need to provide a valid vulnerable Police check within 6 months at the time of onboarding.

Rate of Pay: $144.23/day + 4% vacation pay
