DUTIES

  • Responsible for daily parts processing of orders, receiving and shipping.
  • Provide a high level of service to internal staff and external customers
  • Answer phone calls in a timely and appropriate manner to provide sale, price quote, and other information
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations through professionalism and conduct
  • Locate and/or acquire items as required from stock, other locations, or suppliers.
  • Memory requirement for product codes and placement within the warehouse
  • Responsible for cores, warranties and new part returns as per department policies and procedures with the support of the department manager
  • Operate nonpowered material handling equipment (dollies, pallet jacks, etc.) and powered equipment (forklift)
  • Handling of stock items that may include lifting or carrying of items up to 60 lbs.
  • Manage inventory control (cycle counts, excess returns, emergency/critical orders, obsolescence)
  • Ensure all areas of the department are clean, organized, and safe
  • Cultivate a continuous improvement culture
  • Monitor parts sales (open orders, estimates, concessions, and contracts)
  • Be available to work a Saturday shift and be oncall after hours.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and strong work ethic
  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be worn when required.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Parts Technician journeyman certificate an asset.
  • 2 years of previous heavy duty parts experience required.
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Valid Forklift Certification
  • CSA approved safety toed shoes required from the first day of this job. (Yearly safety shoe allowance)
  • Basic computer skills (Windows, Google Chrome, and Outlook)
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail
  • Must be sales driven, organized, and selfmotivated
  • Capable of recognizing parts numbers
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate department demands
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
