U-Pak is looking for someone who is dedicated, trustworthy and willing to learn.

The Parts Co-Ordinator position is primarily responsible for the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of all the parts required to run a truck mechanic shop.

Parts make up a tremendous segment of the mechanic shop operations and is required to be kept in an orderly and accurate state at all times.

This role allows the employee to constantly bring new ideas as to how inventory and tracking is achieved and will develop a skillset invaluable for any type of industry where accuracy and consistency is required.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Point of Contact for shop technicians regarding required parts for repairs and services
  • Ordering parts from outside vendors for both repairs and inventory
  • Receive parts from outside vendors and ensure parts given match the invoice issued
  • Label all parts with the correct information and input them into inventory
  • Determine parts availability for upcoming scheduled service appointments
  • Track warranty protections and core returns ensuring all documentation is correct
  • Contacting outside vendors regarding parts required and confirming delivery dates and ETA's
  • Pickup parts at various locations throughout the shift as required
  • Communication with Supervisors and technicians when a part has arrived for a repair
  • Running monthly inventory of all stock

Qualifications:

  • Ability to independently organize their own duties and help implement strategies to help organize others
  • Ability to use their own experience and understanding to assess, implement and solve situations
  • Work with a sense of urgency to get the job completed in the most efficient and effective way
  • Ability to communicate with different people and personalities in both low and high pressure situations
  • Willing to add onto their already existing computer skills (Office, Various Software)
  • Must hold a valid Ontario G driver's license
  • Experience in a mechanic/automotive parts environment is an asset
  • Completion of Post-Secondary education
