Position Summary:

The Laser Operator will operate a laser machine to produce precise parts according to customer specifications. The position requires high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

The Laser Operator must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and work well with other team members.

The position requires a high level of physical strength, stamina, and endurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Download programs and set up machine to cut based on material type and thickness.
  • Load and unload tables.
  • Deburr cut parts if needed
  • Package parts for shipping
  • Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments
  • Document measurements in the operating software or internal paper forms
  • Check parts against the production schedule to ensure that all features are correct
  • Perform final quality checks after final production
  • Ensure that all parts are stored properly
  • Maintain equipment and do regular maintenance.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be selfmotivated.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and follow instructions.
  • Must have good math skills (understand how long it takes for a part to complete one step).
  • Must have good communication skills (understands instructions, can communicate with other employees, customers, or vendors).

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
