Classification: Laboratory Assistant I Union: HSAA FAC PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Pre-Analytics, Laboratory Primary Location: Misericordia Community Hosp Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.50 Posting End Date: 05-JUN-2024 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 17-JUN-2024 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 10 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $23.72 Maximum Salary: $29.56 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent phlebotomy experience (within one year). Formal urinalysis training course required or current equivalent experience. Equivalency is defined as completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) and/or Combined Laboratory and Xray Technologist (CLXT) program in Canada; completion of a Medical Lab Technician/Technologist program outside of Canada; and/or MLT or CLXT students who have completed their phlebotomy training/rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:Competency with the EPIC Information System.
