Your Opportunity
Our
Thunder Bay
office is looking for a Co-op or Intern Student
to join the Financial Reporting & Insights
team from January to April 2024** and own the following responsibilities:
Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments

  • Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notice to reader engagements per regulatory standards
  • Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements
  • Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
  • Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis

How do we define success for your role?
Efficiently prepare financial statements for Notice to Reader and Review engagement

Prepare working files for income tax and information returns for a variety of client sizesBuild positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestionsCompletion of ongoing accounting analysis and assignments following established proceduresEffectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis

Your experience and education

  • You are currently working towards a degree/diploma, focused in accounting
  • You have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork
  • You have proven leadership skill and can take initiative to seek understanding
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
