As a family owned company founded in 1971 in the scrap recycling industry, Amix has since expanded into a wide variety of services, including marine salvage, marine projects, marine towing, and barging, concrete sales and steel distribution.

The Amix Group consists of 6 companies providing specialized and quality service.

These companies include Amix Marine Projects, Amix Marine Service, Amix Marine Salvage, Western Concrete, Amix Steel and Surplus, and Amix Recycling.


Job Summary


Based in Surrey, BC, this role requires the ability to work closely with the Manager to follow instructions for the completion of general labour tasks.

General Labour tasks may include the use of a variety of tools and equipment such as forklifts, grinders, and power tools, etc.

This person will be responsible for warehouse clean-up & housekeeping, shipping container preparation, assisting warehouse operations, sorting metal. This role offers a Monday to Friday shift, working 8 hour days.

Key interactions (Internal and external)


This role requires the ability to work closely with the Operations Manager to follow instructions for the completion of general labour tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • General labour duties as instructed
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • May involve the use of a variety of tools

Education and Experience

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Scrap metal and general labour experience is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs safely
  • Experience in the use of a variety of tools
  • Must be reliable, mature, punctual, motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team and communicate effectively
  • Knowledgeable in general safety practices
