Summary:


Foundry Central Office (FCO) is recruiting for 3 Services Coordinator positions, to support Foundry centres to experience a streamlined and supportive process when it comes to day-to-day service and project related communications with FCO.

The Services Coordinators will work alongside a the Manager, Service Implementation & Integration and other FCO staff, and will reflect Foundry's values of celebrating community and appreciating individuality.


The Service Coordinators will take a project management approach to planning, organizing and managing centre workplans and will be instrumental in communicating centre needs and capacity to ensure FCO is better able to support prioritization of work flowing to and from the centres.


The successful Services Coordinators will have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate cultural humility, clear communication and organization, underscored by Foundry values of embracing nuance and being youth and family centred.

The Services Coordinators will report to the Lead, Service Implementation and Integration.

Qualifications / Skills and Education:
Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health, Public Policy or related field. Master's Degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of recent, related experience in project management, community capacitybuilding and facilitating and managing consultation and engagement processes with a wide range of community, knowledgeholder, and rightsholder groups.
  • Strong understanding of substance use, addiction, and recoveryrelated issues including acceptance of harm reduction and abstinenceoriented approaches.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working in public health, community development, substance use and addiction, and health services.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities. Understanding of the direct, intergenerational, socioeconomic, and health impacts of colonialism on Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including relationshipbuilding, negotiation, tactful and diplomatic communication skills, conflict management, and consensusbuilding.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision required and in collaboration within a group and across groups.
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills. Ability to anticipate obstacles, use logic to make conclusions and develop an appropriate course of action.
  • Ability to respond to problems with tact and sensitivity while respecting confidentiality as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative. Generates ideas for improvement, suggests innovations, takes advantage of opportunities, and is selfmotivated.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and projects, resolve problems in a timely manner, and meet deadlines. Proclivity for planning and organizing tasks efficiently to achieve objectives, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment involving policy makers, government officials, and communities affected by substance use.
  • Ability to travel provincially and nationally, if necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and manages logistics in the planning, implementation, and successful completion of relevant projects. Tasks include assisting in work plan development, management of partnerships (internal and external), communications and meetings, monitoring of timelines and budget, production of deliverables, knowledge translation, and the sharing of relevant data to centres.
  • Builds productive relationships with Foundry Centres alongside the Regional Manager, Implementation and Integration to help support the partnership of a wide range of provincial partners, regional health authorities, provincial government officials, academic partners, Indigenous community groups and partners, care providers, and the philanthropic community.
  • Works collaboratively and respectfully with community members, knowledgeholders, and rightsholders to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of a province-wide Foundry strategy that addresses the needs and goals of the Lead Agency's community.
  • Assists in the planning and engagement of a number of community members, knowledgeholders, and rightsholders in strategic planning, and other centre-wide activities.
