Job Description

As the Senior Financial Analyst reporting to the Manager of Financial Analysis and Optimization, your main role involves compiling essential information to generate results and analyses focused on maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of Air Transat's maintenance costs in alignment with IFRS standards;
  • Assisting in the preparation and tracking of aircraft maintenance provisions following IFRS16 guidelines;
  • Supervising balance sheet provisions and lessor cash balances;
  • Supporting budget planning and financial forecasting initiatives led by the Manager;
  • Conducting various operational analyses and offering assistance to operational management;
  • Engaging in extra-financial analysis and providing recommendations for ongoing improvements;
  • Collaborating with different stakeholders to enhance processes;
  • Analyzing the financial impacts of new contracts;
  • Assisting the Chief Accountant in both internal and external audit processes;
  • Performing any other relevant duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Holder of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
  • 5-7 years of minimum experience in a similar role;
  • Prior experience in major corporations and aviation industry considered an advantage;
  • Solid understanding of IFRS standards;
  • Proficient in Office suite tools;
  • Independent and adaptable to dynamic environments;
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities;
  • Detail-oriented and diligent;
  • Team player with bilingual proficiency.
