This role is part of
the Trade Marketing & Distribution team.

The role is responsible for
delivering commercial and consumer performance for Imperial Tobacco Canada (ITCAN) within the Vape Shop channel of an assigned geographical area. This will be accomplished by building strong customer relationships with retailers & staff and demonstrating both commercial competence and digital assets to meet consumer needs.

What you will be accountable for:

  • Building ITCAN's vaping business and establishing our offering as the top brand in Canada through sales prospecting and lead generation, expanding the distribution in the best Vape Shops across a geographical area;
  • Leading your territory to deliver volume and market share targets that contribute to achieving national, regional, and districtlevel objectives, through effective implementation of cycle activities for all of ITCAN's product categories;
  • Delivering a superior customer experience by using ITCAN's customized digital tools and assets to maintain strong business relationships, train retailers and staff to effectively communicate ITCAN brands to consumers, responding to retailer and staff questions and concerns in a timely manner, supervising contract compliance and delivering personalized 121 customer and consumer insights to drive performance;
  • Building the company's brands through an omnichannel approach, ensuring product is available and effectively marketed on all proprietary retail ecommerce sites;
  • Generating and maintaining market demand of Imperial Tobacco multicategory products by ensuring adequate inventory levels, attaining distribution targets, reducing OOS, merchandising effectively and ensuring a driven price for the entire product and brand portfolios;
  • Identify and collect competitive intelligence and ensure corporate awareness of new Consumer Trends (seen on the ground) that may impact the performance of our products;
  • Lead, account for and govern all funds required to implement the Vape Shop strategy and leverage this to grow volume and share;
  • Leverage consumer moments and 121 activation to recruit new consumers with a focus on closed systems through the vape shop strategy;
  • Work with other Vape Channel Territory Managers across the country to seek out and activate new and innovative ways to maximise impact. Share best practices and activation techniques to influence entire district / regional / national performance.

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:

Experience Required
years' relevant work experience (ex: previous experience in a marketing focused role)

  • Experience in an FMCG or a global organization.
  • Cold calling experience an asset
  • Knowledge of the vapour category

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required:

  • Aspire to an experience which offers daily opportunities to learn and grow.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong eye for business, strategic attitude, and account management capabilities.
  • Energetic, resultsdriven, and autonomous.
  • Facility with digital tools and able to interpret commercial data, identify business opportunities, and put plans into action.
  • Solid understanding of ecommerce platforms.
  • Ability to focus on a longterm objective, while capitalizing on shortterm opportunities.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or a related field (ex: business administration, international business, digital marketing etc.)
  • Hold a valid driver's license in any one of Canada's provinces or territories.
  • Possess the current legal right to work in Canada.
  • Bilingual (French and English) in Quebec, and Fluent in English (for rest of Canada).
