Office Clerk - Cash balancing


If you have experience as a head cashier, cashier or have an interest in accounting, we want to meet you We are looking for someone with a good attention to detail, a team player able to deal tactfully with others.

This person will be responsible for reconciling bank deposits, verifying receipts and maintaining communications with the stores.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Download daily deposits, credit card and gift card statements.
  • Reconcile store deposits with our POS system on various payment methods.
  • Investigate cash shortages or overages and determine the reason and origin of the discrepancy.
  • Audit and reconcile bank cash deposits
  • Verification and audit of weekly reports (discount reports, refunds, etc.)
  • Verification of transactions for fraud detection
  • Make manual bank deposits
  • Perform other administrative duties.

Qualifications:

  • Must be available full time; 40 hours;
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English (written and spoken);
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Experience in a cashier position an asset;
  • Computer literate and comfortable with Excel
  • Experience in internal sales audit (1 year experience)
