Responsibilities for this position include but are not exclusive to:

  • Cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing throughout the entire home i.e. vacuuming, cleaning carpets, sweeping, wet/dry mopping, scrubbing, sanitizing/disinfecting floors, washing & spot cleaning walls, washing windows and doors, dusting, emptying wastebaskets, rearranging furniture, removing waste, replenishing supplies, cleaning & polishing floors, cleaning fixtures & furnishings, etc.
  • Operating equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, chemical dispensers, etc.
  • Loading/unloading commercial washing machines & dryers
  • Folding/sorting/delivering laundry
  • Stocking carts and closets with supplies

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in healthcare, preferably long term care
  • Understanding of chemicals and equipment used in cleaning

Education & Skills:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Ability to follow written and oral instruction

Requirement:

  • Criminal Reference Check conducted by a police force within 6 months
  • All required doses of a COIVD19 vaccine to be fully vaccinated against COVID19; and a third dose of a COVID19 vaccine authorized by Health Canada
