Lake City Foods is a fast growing fast paced food manufacturer and co-pack Industry leader and is seeking experienced Line Operator for our second shift.


Education/Work experience requirements:

1-2 year's experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.

Experience with various types of food packaging equipment, cartoning machine, Bundle wrapping machines, vertical form fill and horizontal form fill lines would be considered an asset.


Leading a small team of people on a packaging Line and maintain all aspects of that line.

Key technical & behavioral competencies;
Will be required to work well as part of a small team and provide leadership.

Good communication skills; strong English reading and writing skills

Experience using computer systems; learn new programs quickly

Works effectively in a fast-paced environment;
Must be familiar with GMP's

Will be required to perform film changes and reconciliations at end of production run.

Will be required to regulate machine flow or speed to hit or exceed shift targets

Must be mechanically Inclined; Observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Make machine adjustments, as necessary.

Will be required to stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to Shift Supervisor or mechanic; Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.

Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.

Monitor the production line, watch for problems, keep the line moving.

High attention to detail;

Will be responsible for food safety: Responsible for reporting food safety problems to Quality Manager who will initiate appropriate corrective action.

Perform quality checks according to SOP's. Complete production and quality assurance paperwork with accuracy. Ensure quality product is made and company standards are met.


Responsible for working safely in accordance with Company and OHSA policies and procedures; wear prescribed PPE and report all hazards and incidents to supervisor.

Adhere to plant Health and Safety policy, Food Safety policy and Personnel Hygiene policy

Oversee sanitation at the end of the shift and between products, respecting Allergen Policy. Load and unload equipment and materials. Maintaining good housekeeping practices with emphasis on Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Back up Shift supervisor and perform supervisor duties as needed.
