  • GEORGE, a fine-dining, Michelin rated restaurant,
  • Sweetgrass Spa, a women-only day spa,
  • The Ivy at Verity, a four-room boutique hotel
  • Secrette, a Speakeasy

Overview of Position:

The Director of Membership Sales at Verity is responsible for driving membership growth through strategic personal and corporate sales initiatives. This role involves leveraging a personal network, engaging in active outreach to downtown Toronto businesses, and participating in networking events to identify and convert prospects into members.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Founder & CEO to develop and execute membership strategies, achieve revenue goals, and maintain high standards of member engagement and satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build Verity Membership through personal and corporate membership sales
  • Actively reach out to new prospects through personal network
  • Actively reach out to new prospects of businesses in downtown Toronto
  • Attend networking events at club to meet new prospects
  • Schedule appointments and tour the Club with prospective Members
  • Work closely with the Founder & CEO on Membership initiatives
  • Close sales during on-site visits or through follow up correspondence
  • Achieve budgeted revenue goals
  • Actively seek new opportunities and follow up immediately
  • Remain informed of member benefits
  • Actively support and participate in Verity events
  • Attend regular sales/staff meetings

Administrative Duties:

  • Report weekly on sales activities
  • Complete all membership applications
  • Ensure receipt of correct membership payments
  • Actively post on LinkedIn about Club events
  • Ensure all membership materials are up to date and in stock

Club Events & Programming:

  • Utilize scheduled Club events and programs to engage prospects and convert to Members.
  • Attend events to build relationships with existing Members and establish relationships with prospective Members. Attending events, may at times require working extended hours.
  • Curate recruitment events and opportunities to increase
  • Organize Open House events for prospects

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Record of successful sales of comparable services & products
  • Exceptional people skills with an outgoing personality
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must have previous sales experience in luxury goods & services
  • Ability to prospect new businesses
  • Self-starter with a professional appearance
  • Can think outside the box to offer new ideas, concepts, solutions etc.
  • Capable of maintaining sensitive/confidential information
  • Team player who works well with all departments
  • Has the ability to foster the values of Member relations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word. Knowledge of Salesforce is considered an asset
