SUMMARY


Reporting to the Facility Director and in conjunction with the Unit Manager, the Social Worker executes his role in terms of creating, orienting, consulting, analyzing and evaluating in the adult program for women and men at the Lac Echo Center.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in a combination of social services in terms of the psychosocial needs according to the clientele's needs;
  • Elaborates the intervention plans according to a scientific approach;
  • Collaborates, with the multidisciplinary team, to the creation, realization and evaluation of programs and intervention or rehabilitation plans;
  • Involves and sensitize the residents, their family members and community in the implementation of intervention plans;
  • Refers the residents to community resources available for his needs;
  • Interprets and applies the regulatory and legislative provisions relating to their field of activity;
  • Advises and informs the various counsellors and residents on the regulatory and legislative provisions;
  • Participates in developmental projects or research that respond to the needs of the clientele;
  • Ensures the group followup with their community;
  • Encourage the participation of residents in the development of activities within the program;
  • Reads the daily journals, the execution of actions taken and puts in place actions, if necessary;
  • Ensures that the resident's files are adequately completed (quality of content, events precisely formulated, etc.);
  • Maintains close relationships and carries out interventions with the various internal and external counsellors and other significant members (family, social worker, doctor and nurse) involved in the residents' file;
  • Plans, participates and manages emergency interventions required in crisis situations;
  • Plans, participates, develops and creates new clinical activities;
  • Conducts daily site inspections;
  • Supervises, accompanies and supports the interns and volunteers under their supervision;
  • Assist the Director in the execution of his mandates;
  • Accomplishes any other related task required by their immediate superior.
  • Participate in any other related task required by their director.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Social Services;
  • Member of the OTSTCFQ (mandatory);
  • Interest and experience within the field of addictions, in the therapeutic community or mental health;
  • Good knowledge of software programs: Office Suite;
  • Good knowledge of laws and regulations of the MCCSS;
  • Proven skills in team work;
  • Planned and organized;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Bilingual (asset);
  • Any other relevant experience or studies (asset).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Job Type:Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday including 1 evening shift
