Maan Farms Market and Estate Winery is a destination for agritourism, events, local berries and wine, and a place for people to gather and make magical memories. We are seeking energetic and motivated
Farmer's Market Staff to represent our farm at various Farmer's Markets from
Abbotsford to Vancouver.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to and from weekend Farmer's Markets as far as Vancouver
  • Set up and break down of tent stall, including arranging produce, displays, signage, and promotional materials to ensure an attractive and organized presentation
  • Greet and engage customers with a friendly and approachable demeanor, providing excellent customer service while sharing knowledge about our farm, products, and farming practices
  • Accurately process sales transactions, handling cash and electronic payments, and maintaining a balanced cash register
  • Manage inventory and keep track of product stock levels
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to food safety guidelines and regulations
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive working environment
  • Maintain effective communication with the market supervisor throughout the day

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or sales is preferred
  • Knowledge of and passion for local, sustainable agriculture and its benefits to the community
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Flexibility to work weekends in various locations as required by Farmers Market schedules
  • Valid driver's license an asset
  • Serving It Right certificate an asset
