  • HWDSB is an anglophone school board offering Core French and French Immersion programs.
  • In French Immersion, students receive a minimum of approximately 85% of instruction in French.
  • Core English instruction begins in Grade 2 in the French Immersion program.
  • The French Immersion program extends into secondary education at two sites, providing a variety of courses.
  • The program is expanding, with multiple sites across the district.

French Teachers Needed for the Occasional List

HWDSB is seeking qualified French teachers for our supply list. Candidates may also be considered for long-term positions.

Candidates must be certified by the Ontario College of Teachers with a good standing. Fluent in French and English is required.

Application Process:

New teachers interested in applying to Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board must apply directly through the provided platform.
