The system administrator reports to the Manager Enterprise Systems and Infrastructure and is instrumental in defining, implementing, and managing what is covering the monitoring tool.

This person is responsible for ensuring that best practices, governance and monitoring activities are optimized, meet business and IT needs, support enablement of the business orientations and minimize operational inefficiencies.


YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Dynatrace best practices and ensure alignment with monitoring objectives.

Develop and refine monitoring strategies, alerting thresholds and anomaly detection rules to proactively identify performance issues.

Develop the link between ServiceNow and Dynatrace in order to generate events to be investigated.


Collaborate with relevant operations teams to avoid recurrent incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing improved alerts to prevent recurrence.

Analyze Dynatrace and Zabbix monitoring data to identify opportunities for performance optimization, scalability improvements, and resource utilization enhancements.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement recommendations and drive continuous improvement.


Create informative and insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations using the Dynatrace and Zabbix platforms to communicate performance metrics, trends, and insights to stakeholders.

Assist in developing executive-level reports for management reviews and decision-making.

Leverage monitoring data to assist in capacity planning efforts, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated to support anticipated workloads.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Dynatrace Administrator, with 3-5 years of hands-on experience and overall IT experience of 8+ years.

Proficiency in configuring and managing the Dynatrace platform, including agents, custom metrics, synthetic monitoring and auto-remediation.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide innovative solutions.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Relevant certifications in Dynatrace administration and monitoring (e.g. Dynatrace Certified Professional) would be a plus.

Experience with other monitoring and observability tools would be nice to have.

Ability to take ownership of issues, work independently or escalate as needed, and find creative ways to resolve problems.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Can work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to provide technical support in a professional manner.

Ability to conduct research into technical issues and products as required.

Attention to detail with the ability to determine root cause.

Ability to work under pressure.

Bilingualism (French and English).
