Jiujitsu Instructor

Your Role in our Dojo:
(Other roles will be required as the need arises)

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITH VERY YOUNG CHILDREN TO ADULTS
Instructing group and private classes - Ages 3 to Adult

Tracking student progress & communicating with the team the student needs

Instructing class in Portuguese

Stripes and belt promotions

Promoting and growing our Jiu Jitsu adult and youth programs

Establishing new classes throughout the week and weekends

Training assistant instructors for classes

Greeting and welcoming students and visitors upon arrival with friendliness and a great attitude

Studio cleaning before and or after classes

Jiu Jitsu Demonstrations for local events

Coaching at tournaments, local and worldwide

Competing at tournaments, local and worldwide

REQUIRED QUALITIES:
Black Belt from Rickson Gracie lineage

You live locally or are willing to relocate (relocation fees are not covered), have reliable transportation and are in good mental and physical health.

Confident, punctual, reliable, and a self-starting individual who is passionate about martial arts and helps others find that same passion.

Excellent communication skills, start and complete tasks both big and small

Be trustworthy, honest, transparent, and ethically and morally strong

Substance abuse or misconduct toward members or staff of any kind on or offline, in or out of our dojo is not tolerated.

Rockland Academy of Martial Arts is searching for someone who can become a leader in this role and be a joint decision maker for all things Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in our dojo.

You must be consistent and organized in your performance as an instructor and a person.

You must be ambitious and excited to establish and grow our programs as part of a team and family that ultimately benefits everyone, especially yourself.

You must continue training and competing to enhance your skills and advance in rank.

OTHER DETAILS:

Compensation is based upon qualifications and experience such as having competent experience in martial arts, coaching jiu jitsu, competitions, child development education, etc.

This position is a permanent one.

Job Type:
Part-time with opportunities for more hours on weekends.

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
