This person will work in collaboration with the leadership team and directly alongside our team of lab technicians, who are the backbone of our business.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of production schedules and ensure the priority of order fulfillment is adhered. Managing team schedules, breaks, and time off requests
  • Provide support and direction to the lab team of up to 12 technicians on a shift
  • Work effectively with the team compounding raw materials, encapsulating, and bottling finished projects for both powders and capsules
  • Maintain a detailed record on controlled documents, in a project notebook, and track team performance
  • Lead training for new hires on Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance standards including training on controlled documents, processes, and math equations
  • Verification of controlled documents and finished product quality, including product inspections to ensure quality prior to releasing from the lab
  • Understands and holds accountability to performance metrics
  • Maintain and hold accountability to a high standard of sanitation
  • Collaborate with Production Manager on any concerns or areas of opportunity as it relates to best practices, new business initiatives, and improvement of lab efficiencies
  • Understand lab inventory requirements and order items as needed

Requirements/Attributes:

  • 2 years supervisory experience and in a lab setting considered an asset
  • Prior experience in a production or manufacturing considered an asset
  • Proficient English in verbal and written communication
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in verification
  • Excellent record keeping skills
  • Standing for long periods of time and lifting required (up to 30 lbs)
This is a full time (40 hours/week) permanent opportunity.

Hours would be on a rotating shift with hours scheduled between 6:30am - 11:30pm two (2) weeks' vacation per year along with comprehensive employee benefits including personal days, medical coverage, and a Group Savings Plan.
