Job Summary:

Volaris Group is in search of a highly skilled and enthusiastic Junior Penetration Tester to join their team. As a member of the Software Assurance Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing Volaris' business units' security by detecting and addressing software vulnerabilities before they are exploited by malicious entities.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform penetration testing on web/mobile/desktop applications created by Volaris business units
  • Create detailed reports on identified vulnerabilities, including their overall impact, steps for reproduction, and recommendations
  • Utilize various testing techniques, frameworks, and tools to evaluate security posture
  • Develop custom exploits, tools, and automations when necessary
  • Support VBUs with inquiries related to the Invicti web app vulnerability scanning platform

Requirements:

  • Solid technical background (experience in software development is highly valued)
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or general-purpose programming language
  • Familiarity with common web app vulnerabilities (XSS, SQL Injection, SSRF, etc.)
  • Comfortable navigating the Linux command line interface
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • While this role is remote, candidates must be located in North America
