We are _Mental Health Therapists_ and _Industry Leaders_ in the development of _Social Skills, Emotional Regulation_, _Self Esteem_, and overall _Mental Health _and _Wellness_.


Behaviour Matters is seeking an individual to work part-time/casual (evening weekdays) as a social skills/emotional regulation group facilitator for children and teens.

Our specialized, small-group programs focus on developing social skills, emotional regulation and self-esteem for children and teens.

At Behaviour Matters, we adopt a positive, growth-based approach to support children learn and develop the skills they need to be the best versions of themselves Our groups are interactive and skills-based, and provide our clients with the opportunity to learn and practice social skills with same-age peers in a safe, supportive environment.

We are looking for a group facilitator who is enthusiastic, skilled and collaborative to co-facilitate our social skills/emotional regulation program.

This individual
must be available on weekdays from ideally 3:30pm-9pm.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Set up group room and create session schedule
  • Coplan and cofacilitate 90 minute small group sessions
  • Provide individual behavioural and emotional support and redirection to clients when necessary
  • Lead small group activities, games, art activities, and discussions
  • Communicate with parents and provide feedback on child/teen progress through the group
  • Document group members progress after each session is completed
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience in report writing and treatment planning
  • Experience in deescalation techiques
  • Techsavvy
  • Maintain open lines of communication with cofacilitator, Program Director, and Clinical Director regarding client progress, parent questions/concerns and communication with outside agencies

Job Qualifications:

  • Education must have a Bachelor's degree and/or possess a qualification in a related field (social work, education, therapy, aba, cyc, ece etc.)
  • Must have experience working with children in small group settings, experience working with teens is an asset
  • Must have experience working with children/teens with behavioural and/or emotional exceptionalities (ADHD, ASD, GAD, LD)
  • Must have valid Police Record Check

Job Types:

Salary:
$19.00-$22.00 per hour

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
