INTERN'S RESPONSIBILITIES
The Investment Operations department seeks a finance enthusiast. This unit manages securities transactions from execution to settlement, involving interactions with traders, brokers, and custodians. This intensive coop/internship provides ample opportunities for personal growth at your own pace.
What You'll Be Doing Here:
- Ensure cash transaction integrity and compile regulatory reports.
- Analyze short sale exposures and oversee collateral management policy agreements.
- Calculate and assess derivative exposures, ensuring compliance with collateral management agreements with brokers.
- Monitor daily foreign exchange transactions in our portfolios and confirm these transactions with brokers via Bloomberg.
- Review operational documents and propose enhancements.
Your Attributes:
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in finance
- Previous internship experience (preferred)
- Curiosity and keen interest in the investment sector
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French; you will regularly engage with colleagues nationwide
- Available 35 hours per week from September 3 to December 13, 2024
