Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator
Job Description

Begin your journey in the manufacturing field with us as an Extrusion Machine Operator. Initially, you will spend considerable time packing, loading, and assembling boxes with the correct amount of finished product - vinyl siding. As you gain proficiency, you will be trained into operating the extrusion machine where you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting the machine in line with established procedures and customer requirements. Key tasks include filling out machine logs and production reports, tearing down and reassembling dies, maintaining gauge thickness, performing color changes, and ensuring material supply to extruders. You will also be tasked with maintaining a clean and organized line.

Hard Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience operating either injection molding equipment or plastic extrusion equipment
  • Ability to use measuring equipment
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 480 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Brant, Ontario.

Work Environment

You will be working in a small manufacturing environment with 5 production lines and a warehouse. The environment involves a light plastic smell and can be loud.
