Established in 1994, Century Private School has offered a safe, pleasant and nurturing environment for students from Montessori to secondary school.

We are currently looking for a certified Security Officer with the following duties:

Security Oversights/ Qualifications:

  • Ensure the safety and security of students, staff, parents and visitors on the school premises.
  • Monitor and control access to the school facilities.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the campus to identify and address potential security risks.
  • Report any suspicious activities or incidents promptly to appropriate authorities.
  • Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and other staff members to address security and maintenance concerns.
  • Greet parents, visitors, employees and students as they arrive the school.
  • Build relationships with parents, students and employees through daily communication.
  • Identify security awareness deficiencies and makes recommendations to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Be physically capable of performing some lifting and moving of delivery, stationary and furniture when required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional demeanor under stressful situations.
  • Must be self motivated and consistently show initiative.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
  • Articulate and ability to communicate effectively with students and employees alike, and seeks to understand and be understood.
  • Responds positively to challenges, is reflective and not risk averse.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence.
  • Enabling and promoting positive image and relationships with parents, students, employees and visitors.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector Screening/Police Check Certificates.

Salary:
From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 per week
