BlackBerry QNX is currently seeking talented embedded developers to join the Advanced Technology Development team. This team focuses on exploring future technology and product opportunities related to market growth and product portfolio expansion.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in a dynamic work environment, contributing to designing and developing product concepts following all development processes.

As a Principal Software Developer / Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of product concepts and solutions within the team, anticipating future technology trends and advancements.

What you will do:
  • Design and execute development plans related to key technology trends
  • Lead architecture and strategy sessions with technology partners
  • Provide design input for future products and solutions
  • Define and design documentation for product development processes
  • Deliver advancements to the BlackBerry QNX software portfolio
  • Develop integration strategies for internal and external infrastructure
  • Implement automation strategies for the software lifecycle
  • Design appropriate security models and strategies
  • Support Product Management in business modeling and licensing
  • Collaborate with product teams for product concept positioning
What you will need:
  • Five to Seven years of relevant work experience
  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive C/C++ experience
  • Expertise in developing for multiple OS architectures
  • Board Support Package and hardware bring up experience
  • Embedded development and cross-platform development experience
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Collaborative nature and open mindset
