What You'll Do

Maximize sawmill efficiency by proactively managing resources, monitoring performance indicators and mobilizing the team towards safe and productive operations. Optimize machine performance, streamline maintenance coordination, and propose strategic improvements to improve the productivity and efficiency of production processes. Ensure interdepartmental collaboration to meet quality standards, respond quickly to safety issues and maintain strict compliance with environmental regulations with the support of the Environmental Coordinator. Strengthen the definition and promotion of employee training and the implementation of tools to consistently achieve optimal operational results.

What You Offer

Post-secondary or college diploma in a field related to wood products Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a sawmill or related manufacturing Experience in team management, including performance, in a unionized environment preferred Knowledge of the principles of continuous improvement, occupational health and safety and lumber manufacturing processes Motivating leader, exceptional communicator, results-oriented, organized and efficient team player, analytical problem solver and professional attitude Fluency in oral and written French (English is an asset) Availability according to a 7 days a week work schedule
