Who we are looking for?

We are seeking a Project Manager who is dynamic, self-motivated and solutions-focused to join our team.


The Project Manager is responsible for identifying the potential risks and challenges of a project and applies proven methodologies and uses current project management tools to plan, control, and monitor resources, processes, and other components needed to see a project through to successful completion, while continuously supporting the company's core purpose of improving patient outcomes and saving lives globally.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management_
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of the project
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects
  • Manage relationships between clients and stakeholders
  • Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools
  • Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks
  • Report and escalate to upper management (as needed)
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Regulated Environment_
  • Complies with the requirements of working in a regulated environment under the guidelines set by the Company to assure all teams members adhere to the internal Quality Management System (QMS), and various governmental requirements including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Worker's Safety.
  • Supports efforts to ensure all products under development meet predetermined product specifications and all applicable requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Quality Systems Regulations (QSR), Health Canada, and CE mark.
  • Teamwork & Communication _
  • Coordinates and leads team meetings and presents data (as needed) to interdepartmental groups and to outside stakeholders. May represent the Company in external relationships that may include instrument manufacturers, suppliers of critical components and training, and customer support activities.
  • Monitors the timely transfer of Product Development processes for finished products and/or new processes to Manufacturing. Oversees completion and release of documents for newly developed products/processes by ensuring all relevant technical information is incorporated into the Company's Standard Operation Procedures, Manufacturing Records and Forms, etc.
  • Complies with the Company's training plans and requirements. Develops training plans as needed surrounding the design control process.

Education, Work Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Formal Education_
  • Bachelor's or an equivalent in science related endeavor with appropriate work experience.
  • Work Experience_
  • 12 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, proven work experience in project management
  • Ideally, at least 3 years of laboratory experience.
  • Previous experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical development environment is an asset.
  • Skills and Knowledge_
  • Background in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong scientific writing skills and experience creating and reviewing technical documentation.
  • A collaborative enterprise leader with strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Expresses strong personal values that fit with Response's vision, values, and culture.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Experience with project management software tools
  • Strong work ethic, high level of professional integrity and positive team attitude
