SUMMARY:
West Shore Parks & Recreation is looking for exceptional staff to deliver exciting recreation
opportunities to the children and youth of the Westshore. Events encourage participants to cultivate
friendships and experience a wide variety of activities, while developing lifetime skills.

This auxiliary position will include:
StoryWalk
Wednesdays, Neighborhood Nights, outdoor movies, and community special events. This role will have the
opportunity to expand into other areas as West Shore Parks & Recreation continues to expand program
operations and instructional opportunities may arise. In addition to good wages, we offer an additional 14% in
pay, per hour, in lieu of benefits; access to counseling; a staff facility pass to drop into the weightroom, fitness
classes, skating, and pool; as well as the ability to play on our 9-hole golf course.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nonlicensed program leaders must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C/AED is required prior to commencing employment.
  • Previous experience leading programs is required.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants who have some postsecondary training in recreation,
youth, childcare or a related field.

  • CLASS 4* unrestricted drivers' licence is an asset.
