Reporting to the CEO, the Institutional Grants Manager (IGM) is responsible for developing and executing resource development initiatives and programs for institutional grants to help achieve EWB's overall mission and goals.
Institutional grants are funds received from government and UN agencies and those related to multi-year funding from corporations and foundations.
This role requires strong research and writing skills, excellent project management abilities, and a keen understanding of institutional funding landscapes.
Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential institutional grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission, programs, and projects.Collaborate with program managers, finance team, and other relevant stakeholders to develop grant proposals that align with funder priorities and meet their requirements.
Develop budgets and budget narratives for grant proposals, working closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary data and information for grant applications, such as program outcomes and impact metrics.
Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with institutional stakeholders, within foundations, government agencies, and corporations.
Attend networking events, conferences, and funder meetings to stay connected with potential grant opportunities and funding priorities.
Work closely with finance and program teams to track and document the use of grant funds, ensuring proper allocation and expense reporting.
Proven experience in grant writing, proposal development, and institutional grants management within the international nonprofit sector.Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
Proficiency in Fundraising or CRM software, databases. Fluency in French, written and spoken form, would be an asset.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., All employees are provided with a comprehensive health/dental benefits package, Professional Development & Wellness allowance and 3 weeks of vacation per year.
