The incumbent will be part of a dynamic team of experimental scientists, where they will work with basic scientists, pathologists, academics and industry partners.

They will have direct access to state-of-the-art cell culturing facilities, mass-spectrometry, next-generation sequencing, flow cytometry, and advanced imaging and computing infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience

  • PhD in Immunology, Neuroimmunology, Cell Biology or other related fields with experience in neuroimmunological assays in an academic or industry laboratory environment
  • 1+ years of postdoctoral (or equivalent) independent research experience
  • Working experience in biosafety containment level CL2 laboratories
  • Working knowledge and experience with mouse models of disease
  • Working knowledge and experience of cellculturing, flowcytometry, tetramer assays, molecular techniques and animal tissue and serum extraction
  • Selfmotivated and works independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
In addition, the applicant should have the following competencies:

  • Qualitative research expertise
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing (in English). Strong record of developing conventional and innovative knowledge translation outputs directed at scientific experts and lay audiences
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
The expected pay for this position is $66,924 per year. The expected start date is April 1, 2024.
